PROBATE SOLICITOR WILLS AND DISPUTES
Disputed Wills
You may have found this website because you are having real problems finding the right solicitor for the job you need done. This would not be surprising as most solicitors fall into one of two camps the contentious or the non contentious. The main difference is that one group will work in a court and the other will predominantly concern themselves with work that is outside of the courts such as drafting legal documents, contracts, wills and so on. If you need a probate solicitor to deal with a contest on a will or similar legal document you may have found it impossible to find a solicitor willing to deal with both the out of court work and the court work involved in solving a dispute of this kind. This is because most probate solicitors are used to working only outside of courts and will normally transfer your case to a completely new solicitor if it involves court work leading to expensive costs for you and inconvenient waiting times. Finding the right specialist who can deal with both the out of court and in court work can be a real battle at times. Fortunately your search has now ended!

Is the Will Defective?
When a probate solicitor goes into court to deal with a contested will or a dispute that has arisen out of a contested will, he or she will be part of a process that determines if the will was valid in the first place. For a will to be valid it must be made by a person of sound mind who is over the age of eighteen. They cant have been influenced by another person and the document itself must be signed by the owner and then two other witnesses who are not themselves beneficiaries of the will.
